Flip Extremely Sorry Premiere - London

I have literally just got back from the Premiere of the long awaited; Flip Extremely Sorry Film. I wasn't disappointed.

The film was fantastic; without a doubt, well worth the 5 year wait! Its obvious that a lot has happened in that 5 year stretch waiting for this film. Its dedicated to Shane Cross and he actually has a really sick section at the beginning. (for those that don't know about Shane, check this out and enlighten yourself).

The London scene-ster crowd was completely hyped. We arrived an hour and a half late (yeah i know, pretty slack) and still had to stand in que for at least 40 minutes while the club was packed out with rowdy skateboards. Once in, the first showing finished and the massive crowd, us included, piled into the room showing the film on, what was frankly, a pretty shit screen.

Rowley's section after Shane really set the tone - every trick that went down was met with cheers and screams of appreciation from the crowd, loving every second. He completely tore it apart. As the film progressed, the standard was maintained, and the crowd was hyped.

The most surprising section for me was Bob Burnquist. For some reason I was expecting him to have a pretty tough time with a room full of street skaters, but there is just no denying the insanity involved with what he skates! Everyone loved it. My only slight let-down was Penny; and I really don't like saying that. He had the biggest reception when his name came up out of everyone else, even Rowley. Yet I was felt thinking, 'is that it?' by the end of his section - although he did have some real tough acts to follow!

I could talk about each individual section, but all i would say is 'Wow!'. like all good skateboarding films, it needs to be seen more than once to really be appreciated. This is a definite to add to the collection on its release - don't download guys, support your skateboarding brands.
